A gastrointestinal (GI) doctor ( gastroenterologist) uses an endoscope. The scope is a narrow, flexible tube with a light and small video camera. WebbIn the CPT 2014 cycle, the RUC reviewed all the esophagoscopy, EGD and ERCP families of codes. For the CPT 2015 cycle, the RUC reviewed the illeoscopy, pouchoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy services in October 2013 and reviewed colonoscopy and colonoscopy through the stoma procedures in January 2014.
